Thanks, Dr. Yohe!

Dr. Roger Yohe
Dr. Roger Yohe, director of the Center for Teaching and Learning at Estrella Mountain Community College in Avondale, Arizona, was one of the first people I met after accepting employment there. He taught a required new-faculty orientation class which I'll never forget for two reasons. One was his welcoming attitude: he played a major role in helping me become part of the EMCC academic community. The other was his constant encouragement to explore educational uses of technology and to look deeply at what teaching and learning are about.
Dr. Yohe is full of ideas and enthusiasm for computer-mediated education. More importantly, he doesn't just "talk the talk" in that area: he definitely "walks the walk" as well and serves as a personal example of what is possible, what has potential, and what is worth trying.
Thanks, Dr. Yohe. All you've done has been (and still is) deeply appreciated.
