Charles Kelly: Prodigious Output

Charles Kelly

I've been inspired by Charles Kelly (Aichi Institute of Technology, Toyota, Japan) for many years; I think I first became acquainted with his work through his Internet TESL Journal, which first became available online in 1995. Over the years, I've continued to marvel at the many pages he maintains, which contain such varied content study pages for his AIT students, an enormous collection of online quizzes, Japanese language-study pages, compendious links lists (currently about 12,500), language-learning games, guidelines to webpage creation, and much, much more.

Charles Kelly has been a major driving force behind online ELT. I admire him for his creativity, technical skills, and prodigious output. I also admire him for giving ELT instructors the opportunity to become published online (especially through the Internet TESL Journal and the thousands of quizzes he has put on the Web).
